Here’s my dilemma

I have built a small collection of slot card bungie cords.

I’m just curious about storage and the stability of the plastic in bungie cords.

If I store them in a box together with other bungie cords, will they start to break down (and one day I’ll open a box and I’ll just have a bunch of bungie bits?)

Is it better to store them in a metal container or it the cardboard box going to be fine?
