Re: Chip Insurance??

Collectibles Insurance Agency is excellent. They do an automatic upgrade every year. When I first went to have my chips insured under my homeowners policy it got a little tricky. I was told they would cover the chips under a different policy but would not cover any chips from a casino that was still open. Another words, if I could walk into a casino and cash the chip in, it was only worth face value. I then asked them if they covered coins and they said yes. I mentioned that coins, let's say an old $1 coin, might be worth a lot of money and would they cover that. They said yes. I mentioned if I took that coin into a store and bought something with it it was only worth $1 wheras in reality it could be worth thousands. Same theory with a chip. It might only be worth $5 at the casino but worth hundreds to a collector. They didn't have an answer and never got back to me.

Go with Collectibles Insurance Agency. They're reasonably priced and everyone i've talked who has had a claim has never had any problems. The initial qoute from the insurance company was also more than double.
