Hey Bob - I transfer my checkmate files all the time. I have my desktop and latop with checkmate (don't tell carole) and all you need to do is to copy the casino.mdb file between them. It gets rather large (mine is close to 300mb now) but still fits on a CD. Of course when I am home I just send it over the network to the other machine. It works as a good backup because one is always home and one is always on the road with me.
