Re: Potawatomi Milwaukee New Chips

I talked to a couple of regular players and they said, no new chips.

I got the pictures and announcment from a players club flyier that came on Friday.

For anyone who cares. I will keep checking and when the chips appear, I will post a note.

Consider this a warning for anyone who wants the old chips, before they disappear. I don't think "The Pot" will be like some of the small town WI casinos. In other words, once gone, they will be long gone. (opinion)

Even Ho Chunk added their new set, while having the old in play on some of the tables. They retired chips and when running short on the third table rack, suddenly the old ones came out of the vault.

Oneida Green Bay has old chips and when they changed, the "First American Games" chips disappeared. The cage claims they were sent back to the Mfg. for distruction. I got a set from a dealer after some wrangling, with the story that "sometimes people bring back old chips and cash them in."

Rainbow (related to Ho Chunk) "destroyed" the first Chipco chips, but you can find the $5 without too much trouble. [$1 and $2.50 harder to find] Maybe that has changed? Second rack (H&C) was drilled and sold from the cage for $25 per hundred. Nice because the old undrilled are protected.

Majestic Pines, Sands, Rainbow and possibly Ho Chunk (ask Janice, who would have the accurate information) all used the Majestic Pines Indian with a pine, eight pips Bud Jones, at one time or another. I bought a box of each and also made up a home play set using $1s and $5s. The $2.50 is hardest to find.

RCC $1 and $5 were sold by the box, Greg and other have found the $25 from an anonymous mystery worker at the casino. The 50c Blue was produced, but the shipment was lost. Replaced by the 50c Rust. (both HHR) The Blue showed up, but the Rust became the table chips. My estimate, under 400 of the 50c blue were made and under 200 survived. The Rust is just as hard to find as the Blue!

Jenna chips from the first Mgmt. team for Ho Chunk, Rainbow and Majestic Pines, were defaced when the Tribes took over their own gaming. These were removed from all three casinos, but it seems you can find every chip in pristine or defaced condition, on Ebay and from sellers, if you look. Hardest to find (also my opinion) seems to be the original condition $5. I have the 50c, $1, $25 and $100 all in like new and scratched condition. I only have the five, defaced. That doesn't mean anything, except that I haven't found one yet. But all are out there in good numbers, which is unusual for the first issue chip?

OK long version, but you see the pattern. WI has no standards for disposal, chips have gone and returned, some casinos may have all the old chips sitting on the shelf. Sometimes and insider may have the old chips and sometimes the casino won't even acknowledge that the old chips exist. grin

I'd love to find out what happened to all the chips from both the Mole Lake casinos?

Short version: The Potowatomi chips have not been confirmed on the tables yet.
