Very close to a willing retraction NCR

I am very close to accepting that this war may be in the proces of making the world a better place. I can and will argue for decades to come whether the justification was there. I haven't been convinced on that. I have been just as concerned with whether it would make the world a better place. The pictures I am seeing now are lending me to give more credit to the U.S. intelligence, and their view on humanitarian outcomes of this conflict. I am nearly presuaded that we may end up doing good by being there.

I make this statement for no other reason but to say that I think a few of our stated goals may be coming true. If this war results in more freedom for more people, I will swallow my philosophical arguments and say "well done" to the Honorable President of the United States -- George W Bush.

I think we are getting closer to that. I admit my "side" is being proven wrong. I've always said I have no side. I want more freedom, less death, and I want the U.S. to be a conduit to that. Like many of you, I don't trust the press. BUt I am beginning to think my detractors on this board were at least pragmatically (if not philosophophically) correct.

I hope you guys are right.
