I use to keep my chips in plastic 2x2 flips. I have heard over the years that the PVC in the plastic will break down over time and damage the chips.

I am in the middle of switching everthing over to 2½x2½ cardboard flips. I have over 5,000 chips and it is quite time consuming, but I am finding that many of the plastic flips were becoming gummy and getting sticky.

I now store the 2½x2½'s in boxes. It actually is organized better now than when they were in the notebooks.
