I have to agree with about everything that has been said in this thread.

1. If your PC is running fine, why change, but if you must, and your components are supported go for XP, and stay away from ME.

2. Windows 2000, and XP, are basically the same, with 2000 being for the more technical user/administrator, and XP being the easier to use for most home users, because as people have said XP does a great job with all the wizards to help you along, and will pretty much let you know when something is wrong.

If you have a choice on whether to Upgrade or do a Clean Install. Do the Clean Installation, AFTER you have backed up all your information. It makes for a happier machine in the long run, and fewer headaches for you.
