This topic has been on-going for a long, long time with no common census of opinion. Las Vegas chips are viewed upon differently than Atlantic City chips are.

My personal opinion is that once A.C. chips are either sold out or have been withdrawn from use on the tables ... they are "obsolete". I'm well aware that there are those who disagree with me ... but they have THEIR opinion ... which I do respect.

In short, there is no definitive answer to your question ... which is why you have received the humorous posted responses you have.
