While I was in New Orleans last week I ran into a nice old set of illegal club chips in an old wooden box with several decks of cards. I didn't even think about mentioning this until today so my memory of them is a little fuzzy. The chips came in several colors (4 or 5?)were in the Recthrt (or maybe Lgsq?) mold and had the intiials ABDE hot stamped on them and they were somewhat worn. The seller had them attributed to a Louisiana gambling bust but didn't remember the name of the club. He said that there were 146 chips but at a glance I would have said 100-120. I did not count them and he wouldn't sell individual sets. He was asking $575 for the set and I just didn't have the money to buy them all. If you are interested email me and I will put you in contact with him and all I am asking is two sets as a finders fee. Fair enough?
