Most of us on this board collect chips (or have collected chips at sometime). Wayne Murphy has stepped up and is doing the slot card Building Fund Auction for the convention this year. After Steve P. did the slot card auction last year, I began thinking that I need to do something similar to this. So here it goes.

I am sponsoring a CC & GTCC Building Fund Auction of $1 chips. I asked Jim K. for his thoughts on this idea and he said that it sounded great. These chips can be from the United States, Canada, the Caribbean or anywhere else around the world. The only requirements are that they are in very good collectable condition and they have $1, £1, 1 or whatever monetary symbol followed (preceded) by a 1. I would like everyone to send a different $1 chip.

For the first few days of this project, please post the chip that you are sending on Greg's Chipboard. This will allow everyone to see which chips are being sent so they can hopefully find one that is not already choosen. I will keep a running list of which chips were submitted by which members and post it to a website for everyone to see. Hopefully we can get 300 different chips for this auction.

If you want to send more than one chip, that is fine as well. The collector that sends the most different chips will receive a special gift.

Any and all $1 chips are acceptable. Current, obsolete, fantasy, it does not matter. I will take them all.
