Many of you will remember the "Steve Passalacqua Slot Card Project" from last year. After speaking with Steve recently, I learned that he did not plan to sponsor a 2nd Annual Slot Card Project. With his blessing, I am, as he suggested, picking up the ball and running with it.
The rules are simple.
Send me a slot card (or cards) issued in your name along with your number.
I will compile a list of donors and their cards.
The cards will be auctioned as one lot during the Building Fund Auction at the convention.
Jim Kruse has suggested that I also ask for donations of blank/unissued card(s). I think that this is a great twist and fully encourage anyone who is able to send blank(s), along with their issued cards, to do so.
Steve's efforts last year resulted in a $1200 bid. What a win-win-win situation. You win by actively participating in the building fund effort, the building fund wins, and the winner of the auction has either an instant collection or a massive addition to their already established collection.
Please participate. Additionally, please help get the word out to all of our members who do not frequent the Chip Board.
