Having never been too interested in topical collecting (just think of those thousands of coins being struck with pictures of animals "with the collector in mind"! However, some of the recent posts on chip topical collecting are interesting Especially the fish n" chips or fish on chips. Will noone show the chinook salmon on the Chinook Winds chips? Anyhoo, having a vacant Dansco album made for chips I decided to give a shot at native american portraiture on chips. There aren't too many... someone guessed about 95, I think less. the big drawback; the big nickel chip from the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, a 500.00 chip. Is this still in circulation or "on the tables"? So far, I have about 15 chips, including the table Mountain set from the poker room at the Table mt. casino. The 1.00 Ponca (Oklahome) seems not available, and two days after I got a Stardancer (wet chip), the company was in the news! Some of the older cardrooms have interesting hotstamps, and so far have the Spokane club (Wa) and one club from Arkansas. Would appreciate seeing any holdings of club members posted here! Thanks
