Webpage Question..Frames..or not to Frames!!!

Heres a question for both the Webpage Pros, and the simple user as well. I use a frames format for my webpage. For those that arent aware what that is; its the style of webpage that has sections. My page links (menu) are all on the sidebar which stays in place no matter which page you go to. The body of the webpage changes with the selected menu item.

The question I have for everyone is: do you all like that format, or would you prefer that it was like the normal type pages where the menu items are at the top or side of each page, but the sidebar doesnt stay there all of the whole time.

Im asking for a reason. I have noticed lately while i was looking to see where my referals have come from, when i noticed that quite often, when i get a referal from a search from Google or Yahoo that the people come to my sidebar. I looked and sure enough when they did the search, my site comes up nicely, but the address is:
www.terryscasinochips.com/sidebar What this does, is take it completely out of the frames set. They only see my sidebar. If they then select a menu item, then the page is entirely that page...no sidebar. So navigating around my site that way is no very user friendly.

The way search engines are supposed to pick up on addresses and descriptions is by whats called "META tags" there arent any on the sidebar html code, so its just listing off the words in the sidebar. Most disturbing. So I thought what the hell, maybe i just need to get rid of the whole frames idea.

What do you all think? Do you like it set up that way? Or should I go with a more normal way?

Are there any webpage gurus that have a solution for me??
