Several factors to know. The local reining Democratic politicos love their toys. Trains, trams, Chinese Gardens, etc. Do Not come between these guys and gals and their toys! Mayor Vera Katz's latest "Buy me that" is the Montreal Expos but we have no stadium and since we have no economy left either (like I said, Democratic polical leadership), no $ to buy one. Now here comes the 800 lb. gorillas of Oregon Indian casinos with this deal. The Grande Rhonde tribes are worried that the Warm Springs indians will be moving closer to PDX now that we've lost our mean little govenor that kept them on the Warm Spring reservation for so many years. Our new Demo governor has been hiding under the covers since inaguration but did slip a note out from under the comforter about new Indian casinos. It said, "I'm not here, go away!"
