Tonight on the 6:00 news...Yours truely and our our Gene Trimble were on TV!! Jerry Anderson did a great job on the piece on Casino Chip Collecting...even if it was only 3 1/2 minutes. Gene only got a few lines...but hey...it was a special on ME!! They the guy get his own tv special. LOL Hopefully Gene will also be on the one tomorrow morning or thursday. Or, maybe they'll do more on commemorative casino chips. Now that Ive gotten to know the news director, i can try to push for some more stories. This will be EXTREMELY valuable for the chip TRADEFEST I am planning. I know i can get the camera crew and reporters out there for a story. If I run the tradefest for two days, can you imagine people coming in with chips that have been in the junk drawers for years?? Oh yeah! But if anything, i bet we could get some more members for the Great Lakes Chapter .

IOkay, back to the real story. I taped the show and now have to figure out who can change it into digital format for me without charging an arm and a leg. Once in a digital format, we'll be able to post it so people can download and view it.

The Tv station's website also posted my website under the new links. Pretty cool. I have already been contacted by a woman who's granfather used to work in the Hollywood Club. She not only has the stories....but also has dice AND...pictures of the inside of the casinos!!! Can you believe it!! I cant wait to see them and scan them. I have decided to add a page onto my website on the Hollywood club as I get information. This has been a real sticking spot for many people because nobody seems to agree if it was the 40's or if it was the purple gang, etc. Ive had a few people emailing me over the last year saying i was way off base. One reamed me a new one for advertising the Hollywood club was from the 40's in an ebay auction.

Our dear Skip in Vegas sent me a wondferful forwarded email. Seems he received an email tonight telling him she had seen on channel 11 some guy who collects chips and lives in toledo. He even has chips from a black market casino run by the purple gang! And she though Skip should have been on tv! the email was totally precious! Thank you Skip for sharing that!

The Station website has now made available for viewing the first and second segments on the "Best Bets In Vegas" The first show was put up intact, the second show was broken into 3 videos. Dont know why..but they did. Hopefully, this Thursday when they air my vegas segment, they'll put up the video whole! The Saturday shows arent put up on the site.

I'll go in tomorrow morning for the filming of the LIVE show. It will be at 8:50 am, and Ill be talking about gabling the right way, tips etc, and also misc stuff about vegas. You know im gonna slip something in on chips. Sure hope my Turrets syndrome doesnt cause a problem on live tv.
