So you need a team of chip thiefs. All leave the table at the same time, alarm goes off, one guy takes the fall, for having a chip "by accident".

How do you tip a waitress? She has to take the chip on her tray and walk around the table. In case someone wasn't watching, they turn in the chip, to the dealer, before they leave the area. It would be too easy to ring in for tips otherwise.

While the idea of chip alarms, sounds good, it may create a larger number of problems and headaches.

As for individual chip tracking, hypothetical situation, each chip has an individual ID, so it can be tracked, anywhere in the casino. Overkill! Even IDs for each table would create more sorting work for someone. (or some machine) Then the cataloging and restoring to the proper bank.

Hmmm molded at 500 degrees and over 200 mph injection. That's hot and fast.
