Rick, Central City and Blackhawk(1 mile apart) are about a 45 minute drive west of Denver. Some of the larger casinos are Isle of Capri, The Lodge, and the Hyatt @ Blackhawk(bankrupt after less that 1 year being open). There are many more located in these two small towns, you can park at one, and walk pretty easily to most of the rest. A word of warning, the maximium wager is $5, so if you get stuck a little, it is not easy to make it back, or really have a chance to.
