Thanks Russ. I'm 100% satisfied that my PC is clean. I just viewed the $30 virus-check charge as a rip-off. I wasn't asking for an estimate for the scanner repair, I was simply looking for the problem I was having to get fixed and was willing to pay for it. I didn't need to pay for a virus scan I could do (and have done) myself.

In the long run, I'm probably better off buying a brand new scanner for what the repair charge probably would have been. The ironic part is that this replacement scanner is for my PC in Atlantic City ... which has never been on-line! I scan images to 3x5 diskettes in A.C. and bring the diskettes back to Brick to download on my PC here. I'll know this weekend if the scanner problem has been resolved. Thanks for your help.
