Ebay sellers occassionally make lots of wishful claims that sometimes must not be taken as gospel.

The $25 Trump Maina holiday chip was NOT sold out on the release date (January 15th). The companion chip release that was released on the same day at Trump Marina ($25 Alice Cooper) was sold out.

Having said that; occassionally A.C. chips that have been previously reported to have sold out are brought back to the cage weeks later for redemption by chippers who may have bought too many ... or have purchased a few extras for friends who had someone else pick them up for them.

Also, occassionally some non-collectors will get into a chip line simply because there may be 30 or 40 people lined up at a roulette table where no game is underway ... simply to buy chips because all these other people are buying them. Some of these people think they are missing out on something, so they get in line (like a lemming) to buy whatever everybody else is buying. "If so many people are buying this chip ... it must be a good deal ... right?? I better get in line before they are all gone!" Sometimes the chips they purchase are then introduced into a table game days or weeks later, after the buyer decides he/she really doesn't want to keep the chip(s).
