Hey everybody...guess who won a 4 day trip to Vegas for 2!! Yep...ME! I saw on our local TV station website that they were running a contest and 3 winning couples would win a trip to Vegas for Superbowl weekend for 4 days! They wanted people that knew about Vegas..places to go, things to do, you know the stuff. They are going to run a week long series in February. So they wanted 3 couple to go out there and a camera crew will follow them around. So...I wrote the email and got a call that I was one of 10 finalists out of nearly 400 emails. I went in for an interview and then was told they would make the final selection and call me if i was selected. Well...I got a call saying I had WON!

I get rountrip airfare on Northwest Airlines, put up for 3 nights at the MGM Grand, tickets to Curque Du Soleil, and tickets to some big superbowl party. Im not sure where the superbowl party is, but they told me they tickets were $100 each. Is that cool or what!

I'm going to take advantage of the film crew and news covereage to try to promote our hobby a little but as well. I've already spoken with the news director about chip collecting and how popular it is, and how casinos put special limited edition chips out specifically for the collectors. He was amazed. Even though he is a veteren of Vegas, he had no idea this went on.

The News Director is giving me alot of control to go where I want and to pretty much do as I please. I just have to have the camera crew along with me. I told him I would make a post here and see what I could do about setting up a couple of visits to casinos. I know there are a few people here that work in PR for casinos. I'm looking for some casinos that would let the camera crew in to film us and maybe give the 3 couples a couple of promotional trinkets. Yes, I know Gene..I've already talked with him. Gene is going to talk to the camera crew about the chip program. I was looking for some additional ideas. I'm really not sure who to talk to about it. I dont think the news director is really putting much effort into searching out any casino PR people.

So, thats the scoop kids. I leave on Saturday and come home on Tuesday the 28th. I love this country. Las Vegas....Here I Come!
