I did one poker cruise on NCL to Alaska earlier this year. The free style sucks. On formal nights we waited 1 hour for dinner seating because the dinning room was short staffed. They have several restaurants you pay to eat in. The short staffing in the regular dinning is designed to push you to the pay restaurants. Dinning room food was very poor.
NCL cabins are the smallest on the seas. If you drop the soap in the shower, there is not room to pick it up. If two in a cabin, one has to sit on the bed so 2nd person can open his suitcase.
Service sucked.
We had 175 poker players with us, over 100 refused to allow NCL to put the $10 per day tipping on our credit cards. Our people are good tippers but the whole experience sucked.
I took care on my cabin stewart and said goodbye to NCL forever.
