Most of us started collecting chips, tokens and other casino related items because of the history attached to this "stuff". Most folks can tell all kinds of stories relating to the history of the casinos where these collectibles came from.

But how many of us can relate the history of Our Club to someone? So in an effort to pass along some of that history, "The History Contest for Newbies" will begin Tuesday, January 21st at 8 pm cst. Open to Club members with a membership # higher than 5200. Some exceptions will apply!

There will be a total of 15 questions posted on the Club website message board (www.ccgtcc.com). I will post these in groups of 5 questions each night starting on Tuesday. After the last questions are posted on Thursday evening, the first person to email all 15 correct answers to me, I will send them $125.00 in book value chips, postage paid!!

All the answers CAN be found at the Club website, here at The ChipBoard.com, in the archives of these sites or from links appearing on these sites. The links are in no way commercial in nature. This is not an "official" Club contest conducted by the Club. I, as a member, am solely putting up the questions, determining the rules, declaring a winner and awarding the chips.

Hopefully, at the end, some of our newer members will have a better understanding and appreciation of the people and the events that helped build this Club and this hobby.
