Re: My Roulette Chip Of the Day

Bob, Here is the real story on the Bladensburg Roulette chips. They were used in the Bladensburg, Maryland Fire house in a regular roulette game from the 1970's thru the 1990's when the State law changed and the games were shut down. There were several Firehouse Casinos operating every day in Maryland. I played roulette and harvested roulette chips from the Bladensburg Fire House before it was closed in 1996 or 1997. There are 5 designs and 12 colors of these chips a total of 60 different chips. This Firehouse also had poker and blackjack games where you could bet $1000's. Tom Hitzelberger wrote an article on the Maryland Eirehouse Casinos for the National Club magazine several years ago. As Paul Harvey would say"That's the rest of the story" The chips pictured are roulettes from Ben Marden's Riviera in Fort Lee, New Jersey - not from Maryland.
