Thanks for the scan of the Diamond Jim's ashtray. That's got to be the one I'm looking for. The shape of the star logo is the same as the one on the postcard that I have. Where did you find it?
It's not in any of the books. I'd be glas to help make up a list of casinos that still have logo ashtrays on the floor. i.e. bellagio,edgewater laughlin,london club at Alladin
