....and that brings us right back to the question of what published where can be assumed to be copyrighted.

My take is, if you create an image using an analog or digital device, you own the copyrights to that image. Usage of the image by its creator can certainly come into question, and would be another area of discussion, but what I think we are disussing is the usage of an already created image by someone who didn't create it, without expressed permission.

...an aside, Skip used to send me emails about showing off "his" $500 Paris jeton. I won it and took it home with me. I scanned it before I sold it to him (at face, in case anyone was wondering) and I consider the scan to be my property. The image that I created holds some personal memories for me. I REALLY miss that roulette table!
