"No way they converted the chips"

Chuck, between my scan and yours I think that it proves they did re-use these chips. In your top scan you see the Viejas Valley "bird" logo. Below in the Top Of The Vine you can see they stamped there name where they could fit it. One part is actually on the "bird".

In my scan you see the front of both chips. On the left note the Viejas casino logo. On the Top Of The Vine chip the name is overstamped and there name again squeezed in to fit. Look at the bottom of the TOTV chip and you can still see the bottom of the Viejas logo. It is also my opinion that during the restamping process they had to remove the old plastic mold by melting it away. That may be the reason the metal on the chips are darker. Again this is all theory.

Please tell me someone else see's this and I'm not going crazy.
