Re: Anyone collect Casino Playing Cards?

I have an interest in decks that coincide with my chip interests and am always interested in casino deck jokers and Ace of Spades designs. This one from the Nevada Club echos the shape of the initials from the Chesterfield Club from the Detroit area. Lincoln Fitzgerald was the proprietor of this gambling club but anxiety about his notorious business associates, the Purple Gang, lead him to seek a more stable lifestyle out west. He gathered up a bunch of crest & seal chips marked "CC" and eventually landed in Reno. He survived an unattributed assassination attempt and took up residence in the more secure confines of his Nevada Club casino where the "CC" chips continued to make sporatic appearances. Whew! Anyhoo, I like the tradition behind the letters on this ace. We'll save the story of the two chips for another time! grin
