Of course, I haven't seen their books, and I'm not an Indian, but our two Choctaw Indian casinos - The Silver Star and Golden Moon in Philadelphia, MS - seem to have done wonders for the tribe.

There's new housing, better roads (yes, albeit with more traffic), new buildings going up on the reservation (not near the casinos). It all seems very prosperous. And I know for a fact they already had better schools (I had to play ball against them in high school - NICE facilities they have).

It may be all on the surface, but it's been enough to make this paleface pause and wish I had a choctaw ancestor somewhere!
