If you read the thread (linked below) you will see that you and I have discussed this before. My only change to what I have stated therein, is that I agree that room key collecting is bigger than I characterized it, however, it is still in it's infancy.

It is also curious to note that others did not join-in on the discussion. This subject also came up on the Slot Card Board, and even then the thread did not drift towards two contests.

Also, since the thread, the newly formed Slot Card and Room Key Chapter of the CC&GTCC has included room keys into the singular competition.

For comparison sake, let me add that the SSOTY was established three years ago and now has two awards issued, yet the CC&GTCC has recognized awarding OTY prestige to four different Silver Strikes. The '01 SSOTY, the '00 SSOTY, the '98 TOTY and the '93 TOTY. I imagine that this is part of the reason that the SSOTY was spun-off as it's own competition for '00, not to mention that several hundred Silver Striker's Chapter members wanted to create the award.

Bottom line, my responsibility is to run the competitions.
