Trying my first real "chip" post to this board, and also trying to figure out my new (also first) scanner. So, you get a scan of an old chip and also an old story.

My first trip to Las Vegas was in 1969 and I got to stay in the (not so very nice) Bonanza Casino Hotel. I remember looking out the hotel room window and seeing the DUNES sign right across the street. Bonanza had a small low limit poker room and so I played my first casino poker.

Walked away with a handful of these chips from the cardroom. Gave several away as gifts and used the rest in a few of my home poker games over the years.

Does anyone else have any stories or remembrances of this casino and/or cardroom? It is long since demolished, but was on the site where Ballys is now.

What about the cardroom chips? A few months ago, I showed one to Todd D. in Tunica and he said this might be worth something now. so what would any of you suggest? Is there a "buy - sell" range on something like this? Do I take it to a chip show, try E-BAY, or ____?
