I use the worst of the two sides for the scan, so people know what they see is what they get. They can put the good side up in their collection and be happy.

Sometimes I use a "standard" scan, when all the chips I have are the same or better, than the one scanned.

I agree, ask the seller for a return and refund if you feel it's not up to the standards.
