Hold the chip with one side right side up. Hold it with your finger on top (12:00) and your thumb at the bottom (6:00). Then, spin the chip to look at the other side. Becarefull to try and keep your finger and thumb in the same places.

Now, once you are looking at the other side, is that side right side up? If not, at what clock position is the hot stamp oriented to?

This determination ignores the mold design (cards and dice).
