Reno History Question

These three matchcovers were in a collection I got recently. All are from Eugene's on South Virginia in Reno. One has a 1956 date, and since they are all front-strikers, all are 25+ years old.

The address is a couple of digits off from a Eugenes that TGT lists as having gaming but closing in 1953. The inside printing on 2 of the covers talks about a Model Dairy in conjunction with the restaurant and doesn't really sound like a place to have gaming. The other one mentions Cocktails, Dinners, Music and the names Gilbert Vasserot and Joe Patrucco as owners, names that would make more sense as a gambling club.

Anyone have any further info on Eugenes in the 1950's or earlier? Is it still there? Maybe it converted from a dinner house to a family restaurant in the 1950's?
