Macao casinos still use STDM chips and plaques- although STDM have changed to SJM. With the end of monopoly, next year there will be new casinos from Galaxy Casinos in association with Venetian (Las Vegas) and from Wynn Resorts- and new chips and plaques.
Some time ago I have showed lots of Macao chips.
Now let see some plaques:
The plaques are HK$5000, HK$10000, MOP 5000 and MOP 10000.
one US$= 7,8 HK$ (Hong Kong dolar). MOP is pataca the macao currency very similar to UK$.
There are many VIP gambling rooms in CASINO HOTEL LISBOA ( someone says that they are controlled by chinese triades)and each VIP room has own VIP plaques - JUNKET plaques denominations, 1000, 5000 and 10000 HK$.
