I had heard that a new night spot in Newport, Ky. ,that local restaurant owner Jeff Ruby recently opened, had some old Newport gambling memorabilia. So last night I stopped in to check it out. It's a top notch place. I couldn't help notice a couple of blackjack tables ( I'm told just for fun) and had to find out if the place had some new chips made. They did and the manager was kind enough to let me buy a few, though I don't think he really wanted to let them go. The one thing I noticed when I got them home, is how they sounded when dropped on a hard surface or when they hit each other. It's a very metallic sound. They must have a steel center because a magnet grabs them very strongly. Does any One know if other chips are made with this metal core?
