Big Brother Al

Anyone who donates time to help kids in need is OK, whether or not they are the perception of what the founder had in mind or not. As Al said, Pete's cool and sure he meant it all tongue-in-cheek. I know both Al and Pete and other than the fact they both studied law, the are both great guys! vbg

I met Al for the first time several weeks ago and he "stood out" in the crowd we were in. A bunch of 40, 50 ,60, 70 year old throw backs to the Old Vegas and Al. It was a site to behold!! vbg On the surface the only things Al had in common with these folks was his last name ends in a vowel, he enjoyed the food and the entertainment. But, nobody stared at us, refused to wait on us or asked us to leave. And we had a great time!

The only reaction from anyone was from the Maitre'd and it was directed at me. I walked in and told him I was expecting someone, they may ask for me and I had no idea what they looked like since I had never met them before. He kinda of grinned and said, "You've never met him before? He and his wife are already here, let me take you over." As we're walking up, I'm scanning the bar for a well educated, articulate journalist and his wife. Just what you would expect from reading Al's engaging post here on the BB. And that's exactly what I found! What the mind preconceives and reality are rarely the same.

Some of the funniest moments that night were when Al and Sue were telling us stories about the drive from New York to Vegas. Some of the reactions they got from the Midwest corn farmers were priceless.

As for Al's statement of "if they could find Better Big Brothers, I would turn him over." I think Chase is just fine with the one he has now.
And Al, if you email me your mailing address, I'll send Chase some duplicate traders!!
