I think you and I would get along well. I might be known as the only guy on the planet to ever show up at a Slayer show with a tie on. I had just got off work and had no time to change. I received a few "you sellout b*stard" looks, but even received a few "Welcome to the lifestyle." comments, though the lifestyle was nothing new to me. Besides, I never look the metalhead part, but live the lifestyle as often as possible. FYI, my friends look the part.

Point... perception is meaningless. Thank you for being a healthy role model to a young man that likely needs one, and for showing the kid (our future) that it doesn't matter what you look like or what you're into, you can still be a cool person and do good things.
