Colorado Casino News

Thanks go to Allen Banick for sharing this info...

The Black Hawk Casino by Hyatt has filed for bankruptcy. No word on if this will close down the casino or not. This is one of the largest casinos in Black Hawk.

Bull Durham Casino in Black Hawk has closed their Black Jack tables and will not be issuing any more chips for a while. (These were my favorite chips too). The tables will be replaced by more slot machines. Guess that will make the Bull Chip series a thing of the past.

The recently closed Jazz Alley Casino in Black Hawk (closed last Spring) is planning to re-open soon. Talk has it that they will be using the same chip design for their new issues but new releases usually have some differences in them. We'll have to see.

The long closed Otto's Casino in Black Hawk is being refurbished and will open in a few months. A new name has not been picked for this casino yet.

Harvey's casino in Central City is being sold. A new owner has yet to be named. Since Harrah's owns the Harvey's name the name of the casino will have to change (and thus new chips would be issued!).

Doc Holliday's casino in Central City is moving down the street and will occupy the old Glory Hole spot. No new chips are expected from this.

Once any new chips are released you can bet that I'll post a scan.
