French Quarter is all boarded up.
Airports Closed (runways flooded)
Parts of expressways flooded. I had to exit the I-10 vis the on ramp because there was a lake were the interstate was supposed to be. Just driving along listening to Eric Claptons unpluged version of Layla and Yikes.....no more expressway!! Just a lake. There was a bus that had tried to go through it unsuccessfully and was stalled. The people were waist high in the water walking out to dry land. It took me hours zig zagging from one street to another to get from the airport to the Garden District where my hotel is. The locals all know what roads to take and which ones flood. But i didnt. So it was one mile down this road..then a flood...then around a mile down that road...a mile over this way..then that way. SHEEEESH!!!! But im in the room....and dry now.

Im going to trade my inflatable Susie doll in for an inflatable kayak.
