I remember mentioning to Howdy at that time:

"Seven thousand Roulettes seems like a lot of chips" and Howdy's reply was: "It's not really that many chips when you break them down into sets!" grin

There just weren't that many Roulette collectors at the time.

Same thing with the Cal-Neva Crest and Seal Roulettes; hardly anyone except one Lake Tahoe collecor wanted more than one at $200 each (sfter all, that was twice book at the time). grin

Poor Hanover... he could have had a nice set of 12 like Grossblatt bought from me at the time for $2200. grin

The last chip (white w/ black ring; only 2 found) sold for $1,750 on eBay.
