Rookie Roulette Chip Thief!

You guys didn't tell me it was so hard to palm a roulette chip at a small casino. Was playing at the Catfish Bend Riverboat in Ft. Madison Iowa ($2.oo table limit on weekends, Great!) Got my son-in-law to slip one in his pocket so there we are ready to cash out and the big ole boy says there's a chip missing. I play dumb and look all around hoping he will just forget it but no he calls the pitboss who is looking just as forlorn. I try to wait it out but they ain't giving up. I have to make up some lousy excuse and give the chip back and all this time my son-in-law is trying to get his chip back also. Great first experience - the dealer was nice enough to look through the stack of chips and get me some Grand Opening editions. That missing chip sure stood out in that huge stack of chips when there is only two people in the casino playing roulette. Had a great laugh flying back to Peoria through the cornfields!
