Saito's illgotten goods and other Reno stories...

Tipping a few cold ones at the Carrousel Bar at the Circus Circus yesterday after the close of the chip show with Katie Smith and Clyde and Toni Bailey, who shows up? Doug Saito....looking guilty of something, holding a coin bucket. He harvested maybe $8 in quarters from a coin tray on an abandoned slot machine. John Yee shows up shortly thereafter, and we all share show stories for a while. My best story is I bought my first arrowdie, a $5 beauty from the Jackpot Club in Elko from James Campiglia. Thanks for the deal on the chip James, it's a keeper!

What happened to Doug's harvested quarters? He and John left our little party, but the coin bucket was left behind. I took it and started feeding the quarters into a slot machine right next to our table. I hit a mini-jackpot, cashed out for $57. I took the much fuller bucket to the cashier, tipped her $2, asked her for 5 $10's. I gave one each to Katie, Clyde and Toni, and kept on for myself. The remaining $10 and the leftover $5 will be donated (this entire operation was jointly agreed to before my feeding the machine) to the club building fund. ...Doug and John should have stayed longer, we would have split the booty with both of them! grin

GAWD, I had fun in Reno!

Thanks for everything Jim Fredrickson!

Sunday Silverman, you're the best! Top shelf all the way! I was very happy to spend time with you this weekend!!! grin
