That may be true about what a terriffic family they are.I am sure that they are a credit to our hobby.However I really think they let their anger get to them and got bent out of shape over a little tickey tack type of stuff.Even though there may be some justification in their opinion.I really think they stepped over the line with that very threatening post.People are definitely entitled to their opinion but I beleive (and my opinion only)!! that Rene was set up.This post was so cleverly posted as we all can assume it had an alterior motive which I feel did more harm then good.Now the club suffers as well as the building fund and of course more importantly all the chippers that were looking forward to having these chips,trading them and collecting them would have been kinda of neat.I will also say those 8 members deserved recognition and that's a shame too along with the other deserving candidates that were going to be recognized in the future.
I side with Rene on this one without knowing all the details.This in no way keeps me from appreciating all that Dale and Debbie have done for the hobby.It is just my opinion based on what limited knowledge I have.I think there is no exact science for everybody to be happy and for everything to be perfect,but I do think somebody who has a great idea and benefits the hobby,works their tail off and creates interest in our hobby should be able to manipulate a few things even if they make alittle money on it.That's part of the incentive for putting in the effort.
Finally I wish those guys could have worked it out via email and not in public.To many negative posts turns off most of us chippers that care so pasionately about this hobby and would like to see it grow into something even more special then it already is.Let's not chase people away.Before posting something negative make darn sure you need to air it publically.Thanks-
