Just got back from the Gaming Expo. At first I was bummed that I got stuck covering it last minute, but when I got there it was like being a kid in a candy store. I played a billion stupid new card games for fake money, and one idiotic electronic dice simulator thing. I bumped into Ralph Meyers at a token manufacturer's booth, where he was getting a sneak preview of a new Palms anniversary token. Very nice piece. And oh yeah, I paid a visit to some chip manufacturers booths. I'm not really sure if all the demo chips they had out were meant to be pocketed, but no one stopped me when I walked out with ten different Bourgogne Et Grasset samples, a Bud Jones, a combination promo for B&G, Bud Jones, Paulson and TK Dice, and a chip for someone called Authentic Products Inc. I also got a nice holograph token sample from the Osbourne Coinage Company. I don't really why I wanted all it, but I couldn't resist picking them up.
