Just got back from four days in Vegas. What a great trip it was. First, I was there just in time to pick up several sets of the new Who chips.
That alone was a very eye opening expierience. Got to meet some real nice chippers while waiting in line ( two hours ). Talk about a feeding frenzy! When the window opened and the Who chips began to flow, it was like sharks smelling blood in the water. Of course I got swept up in the emotions of the moment and began swimming with the sharks.

Next...lady luck finally smiled on me. Very seldom I can return from Vegas with more than the clothes on my back, but did I change that with this trip.

Played roulette ( mostly at the Monte Carlo )and only played single zero wheels. Now single zero wheels meant $5 chip value, and minimum bets of $25 to $50. A little rich for my blood. However I had saved for this trip for better than a year so I decided to try betting the $5 chips in big groups. The results, I am sure, I will not be able to duplicate again anytime soon. Here are the important facts ( if somewhat unbelievabe )...
Fifteen ( 15 ) sessions at the wheel, Fourteen
( 14 ) winning sessions. The one session that I lost on was a disaster, $1000 gone in 7 spins of the wheel. But the total of the fifteen trips to the wheel was a very cool Plus + $1350.00. If you know roulette, then you know how fickle that wheel can be. But leaving the table ahead 14 of 15 times just leaves me speechless. The one bad visit to the table was an attempt to turn a really good weekend of winning into a great weekend of winning. I risked a little less than half of what I was ahead, and lost it.

So I am very pleased. Come home with more than I left with, get in a lot of play at the wheel and the dice tables, get plenty of Who chips, meet some of my fellow chippers, saw more beautiful woman in four days then I have seen in four years, good drinks, oh, and the optical convention was pretty productive too!
