Re: LaVERNE REDFIELD -brings back memories

When I first started in the Casino business I worked for the Nev Club in Reno and did deal to Mr Redfield many times.
He would always come in to the cage and pick up his non-value Rou chips in a rack.Others would them be ordered out for his payouts. The ones we used were the orange and blue.
LaVerne Redfield would spin the ball himself on a single 0 wheel-french style with both a right and left layout. We had to reverse the wheel for each spin and he whould spin the ball.
One year he came in just before Christmas and was very lucky- he cleaned out the bank and they ended up bringing out old $20 Cheasterfield chips to finish his play. We didn't get our Xmas bonus before Christmas that year. Rumor had it Mr Redfield had a value of $10,000 per chip on his play.
Mr Redfield came back after New Years and lost most of it back-we than received our bonus.I read a few years back that the Redfield estate was still not settled.
