NEW Casino Moose Jaw Opens

Well, True to my word, I hit the casino on opening night. We arrived at about 8:30 PM and found there were about 60 people in line ahead of us waiting to get in. Seems they were over their legal capacity for occupancy and so people were only being allowed in as others left. After 45 minutes waiting in the light rain and dark, we finally made it in the door. Typical of a Casino Regina run operation, the place was terribly understaffed by people who had absolutely no idea what they were doing. A visit to the Slot Club desk ( which was manned by one person) took another 25 minute wait, and when we finally reached the front of the line, were told that it would take about 1 1/2 to 2 hours before our cards would be ready...at the earliest. So, off into the casino were went, to discover, that true to the line up, the place was overfull. People were waiting 3 deep to play the 150 odd slot machines, and you could not get within 15 feet of the tables. A trip to a rather stunned cashier showed me that the chips were nothing more than a duplication of the Casino Regina chips with the name Moose Jaw where Regina used to be(same thing for the slot card, although at least they changed the color). Further, they informed me they would not sell any chips to anyone unless they were used on the tables and then I could purchase them there. So, after wandering around for 1 1/2 hours trying to get a machine or a spot at a table, we finally managed to get our Slot Cards and leave. To all who I promised chips to, I will be going back in a couple weeks once the newness of the casino dies off and will gather all I can then. Same thing for slot cards. Thanks!!!
