I guess what I said Dilbert was taken out of context, I wasn't in any way comparing the three things at all, I was trying to say that the person who holds the merchandise creates value.

The autograph in their mind creates value and that is why most people will pay a little extra for something. It might be authenticity, it might be that their set is a bit different, but for whatever reason, if the person didn't see the value, they would buy it.

That is just my opinion and that is why I have bought autographed items in the past. God forbid this ever happens, but on the day that Mr. Barris passes, anything he had, sold or passes on with his signature, will obviously be worth more that just a bare set. I hope I am not around to find out, but the fact remains the same.

Am I the only person who feels this way? If so, then why did everyone stand in line to get the chips and get them autographed, if his signature meant nothing to the buyers.
