aaahhh...."Chip Cleaning"....my favorite subject . I never used soap anti-bacterial or otherwise. I clean each and every one of my chips even if it came right from the cage and was never put into play. I use Armor All Multi-Purpose Auto Cleaner. Spray some on the chip then gently clean it with a soft bristled babies toothbrush then I wipe the chip dry with a heavy duty paper towel. If it's an older chip I then apply a very thin coating of Baby Oil on one side let it dry for about 24 hours then do the same to the other side then wipe the chip off. I've cleaned 100's chips { even hotstamps } and never had a problem.
