Trip Report Las Vegas

Went to Vegas with a few friends at the end of July. My plan was to introduce them into casino chip collecting. I thought that if we stared in North Las Vegas at the Opra House and Mahoney’s Silver Nugget I could not fail. First I visited the web site for each Casino and signed the three of us up for their Black Jack buy in Promotion. With $30 each in match play we hit the casinos. First stop Opera House, My friends and I were both impressed, when the owner Kevin Mahoney introduced him self to us. With a nice cold beer in hand we sat down to a 2 deck game dealt way different then the strip, wow we get to touch the cards. We played for about an hour and then walked over to the cage and bought several $1 and $5 LE’s chips. Are next stop; Mahoney’s Silver nugget. Once again my friend Rich loved this local joint. He was most pleased to see the memorial wall of those locals who loved to gamble at Mahoney’s and have departed this great City for the big poker game in the sky. Black Jack at this casino was a 6-deck shoe and a very nice dealer. After an hour of play we cashed in our chips and bought several very nice $1 LE’s. A stop on the strip at the Tropicana and the legends museum and they were hooked. Trops Cage $5 Jacobs Field Stadium chips were bought (all of us from Cleveland). To round off there new collection a quick stop at the Star Dust and Freemont For those ever-popular Bud Jones coin–in-lays.
